Sculpted bag

Project
This project focused on designing a sculptural leather bag inspired by Nappa Dori's design language, which emphasizes craftsmanship, timeless aesthetics, and material authenticity. Through an exploration of form, structure, and construction techniques, the project aimed to create a contemporary accessory that balances functionality with artistic expression. By working closely with leather as a material, the design process investigated how shape, proportion, and craftsmanship can transform an everyday object into a distinctive statement piece while remaining practical for everyday use.

About Leather & Brand Study
Understanding the properties, characteristics, and applications of leather while studying Nappa Dori's design philosophy, aesthetics, craftsmanship, and product language.

Context Setting & Inspiration
Defining the design direction through user insights, visual references, material inspiration, and exploration of sculptural forms.

Ideation
Generating multiple concepts through sketching and iterative thinking, focusing on form, functionality, and brand alignment.

Form Explorations
Experimenting with three-dimensional forms, proportions, and construction techniques to translate concepts into tangible structures.

Final Prototype
Developing and constructing the final leather bag prototype, refining details, craftsmanship, and usability to create a functional yet sculptural product.
