Learning craft

Project
This project focused on understanding the leather craft traditions of Kutch and translating them into a contemporary product for the market. The aim was to design a bag that bridges traditional craftsmanship and modern lifestyles, celebrating the artisans behind the craft while creating a meaningful connection to India's cultural heritage. By reinterpreting traditional techniques, materials, and narratives through a contemporary lens, the project explored how design can make craft relevant, accessible, and desirable for today's market while addressing evolving consumer needs and preferences.
