Material, structure and surfaces

Project
This project focused on exploring bamboo as a sustainable material by understanding its history, properties, structural characteristics, advantages, and limitations.
Through hands-on experimentation with techniques such as splitting, bending, and joinery making, the project investigated bamboo's potential in product design.
The learnings from these material explorations were translated into a jewellery hanger and a range of tabletop products and home accessories that highlighted bamboo's versatility, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
